Synopsis
Zik has over-stayed his visiting visa to the United States from Nigeria and now he is faced withmaking a decision that could possibly turn his life inside out. Zik’s friend, Obi,who was born in the United States, proposes marriage and they take the leapwithout looking.
Although the marriage is mainly to help validate Zik’s immigrant status in the US, the reality of the situation is that he is now married to a man and he must deal with all the implications that marital status arouses. They need to make changes to their lives to keep up the appearance of their relationship and this stirs up a pot of mixed emotions in especially Zik.
Obi is a free-spirit, a good friendand perhaps too good to Zik. Obi’s actions are calculated with a playfulundertone. He tries to convince Zik to play along while he secretly enjoysevery minute of the new marriage.
As the reality of the situationstarts to unfold, Zik battles with his fears; religion and the damnation of hissoul, the social stigmas, morals he has been taught from childhood, and worstof all the possibility of him liking being married to a man.
