About Me

I have over 10 years of experience in the television/film industry, producing/directing television format shows including, Nigerian Idol, MTN's Project Fame West Africa, Malta Guinness Street Dance and several independent productions that have been broadcast Pan-Africa wide. I worked as a Senior Producer/Director for Africa’s 1st Global Black entertainment channel, EbonyLifeTV, where I created and produced unscripted programs ranging from reality to lifestyle entertainment including; The Fattening Room, Sistaz, Tiannah’s Empire, Wardrobe Diaries, Chefrican and more.

My debut film as a Producer, The Royal Hibiscus hotel, was selected and screened at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. I also produced the highest grossing Nollywood film, The Wedding Party 2: Destination Dubai in 2017.

I co-founded the “She Rocks” brand which was created to celebrate women in media, arts and entertainment. Starting as a weekly event showcase of upcoming female artist and honoring powerful women, it has evolved into other media channels, products and markets. In 2019, I launched a podcast platform, Not just Nollywood, discussing with industry greats about the film and visual content industry as it relates to Africans on the continent and in diaspora.

During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, I teamed up with Grammy nominated artist Somi and award winning Director, Mariona Lloreta, to produce a short experimental film, “In the absence of things” a meditation on both the profound sense of personal vacancy that a performer feels in the absence of the stage and live audiences, and the emotional vibration of cultural space in the absence of performance.

In 2021, I was Producer and Creative Director to  Love Swap and Nollywood Queens, unscripted series for Honey Channel Africa and wrapped production on the first Netflix original film from Nigeria for Ebonylife Studios titled 'Blood Sisters'. Released in 2022,  Blood Sisters  has gained critical acclaim and popularity globally.

I am an ambidextrous filmmaker well versed in both scripted and unscripted television and cinema productions. At my core is a consummate artist that continues to explore the boundaries of female stereotypes in Africa, gender identity, immigration/emigration, African popular culture vs traditional African culture and urban African subcultures. Anyone who knows me would describe me as a hard-working and fearless woman with a generous sense of humor, inspired creative vision, a passion for excellence, and joie de vivre.
